The first thing that was asked of us in component two was to find two
companies that produce products similar to the product that we are
suggesting. The companies we
decided on were Geron and CancerVax.
The two companies were chosen for their innovative techniques and
the impressive results that they have ascertained.
The products themselves are like ours in the way that they are
therapeutic (this means that they are used to treat cancer after a person
has gotten it) and they are developed for universal use against all
cancer.
After this we needed to find a
professional association that is assisting in cancer research, and the
development of cancer vaccines. We chose the Leukemia and Lymphoma
society for their hard work and dedication to their members. They
are solid in supporting leukemia and lymphoma victims through the
hardships they face and raise large amounts of money to keep them as
healthy as they possibly can.
This picture shows how our idea would
work:

The next thing that we had to have was
a product. We were unable to come up with a really specific product,
but were able to make a pretty good idea for a universal therapeutic
cancer vaccine. The idea is backed by a substantial amount of
scientific research on specific cancer vaccines. The
only true difference is that our vaccine will be attracted to all cancers
that are found in the body.
The last thing done in
component two was to submit the idea to a company that manufactures
products similar to our proposal. We chose Geron Corporation
for their new-age approach and their open mind to experimental
medications.
