Our team is from the Oklahoma School of Science and Math (O.S.S.M), located in Enid, Oklahoma. Here is some genereal information about the team members, the techical advisor, and our instructor.

Members

Mark A.(left) is a senior from Cimarron High School. He did the research for almost all of component two. Travis H.(middle) is a junior from Cimarron High School. He designed the webpage and did the research for component one and most of component three. He is by far the best looking of the three. Khang N.(right) is a senior from Chisolm High School. He was the team's communicator. He typed and sent the letters to experts in our field in an attempt to find us a technical advisor, and whenever we needed to get information from a company by telephone he was the one to call the company. He did some of the research for component three and component two.

Technical Advisor

Our team was unable to find a technical advisor for our project. Here are the letters we sent to experts in our field and the responses to our request.

Letter 1

Dear Twelfth graders,
Thank you for the invitation to participate in your internet Science and Technology Fair. Unfortunately, this November I am doing three back-to-back trips to Europe and therefore will be unable to participate in your project. I applaud your energy and wish you success in researching your project.

Best wishes,

Dear Dr. Mario Capecchi,
We are the twelfth grade class at OSSM-Autry Tech located in Enid, Oklahoma. We are participating in the Internet Science and Technology Fair (ISTF) this fall. We will be researching a problem about Gene Therapy/Replacement to help cure or prevent diseases. We believe we can research and create a new possible way to advance the world of gene therapy and its potential to help people with diseases such as Lou Gherigís. We think you would be the best to advise us on the technical content of our project. With you on-line help, we will continue working on our project, and develop a final project website that will showcase our findings. If you accept this invitation you will become part of our ISTF team. Before you answer this e-mail, please go to the ISTF website at: http://istf.ucf.edu and look it over. Please especially view the role of a technical advisor at http://istf.ucf.edu/Team_Members/Technical_Advisors/ and then if you decide to participate, set up and ISTF Technical Advisor account at http://istf.ucf.edu/EnrollAdmin/ . We would be happy to provide additional information about our team, our school, and our teacher upon request. We hope you will consider being the technical advisor for our ISTF project. Thank you for considering this challenge.

Sincerely,
The members of Dr. Fleischfresserís 12th grade class at OSSM-Autry Tech

Dr. Luciano Fleischfresser directed us in the right direction every time we started something new. He also found useful resource sites for us to look at to get information.
